Paul Forostowsky
President & Chief Executive Officer
Paul Forostowsky is an internationally recognized business leader in
the mobile arena with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to launching
Bluestreak's mobile division in 2005, he served as CEO of Atlas Telecom Mobile
and W4me/Cognicase.
Mr. Forostowsky began his career at Thomson CSF as CFO of Thomson Hybrids.
He then served as CEO of Valtronic France, a manufacturer of specialized
electronics such as mobile phones. In 1992, he founded his own holding
corporation which led him to sell several wireless electronics companies to
Cofidur. He was then hired by Cofidur to acquire five additional companies and
to oversee international sales.
He holds an MBA from the Paris-based Institut Supérieur de Gestion and is a
graduate of the Cornell University merger and acquisition program.
Claude Cajolet
Chief Operating Officer
Claude Cajolet spent 10 years in senior management and software development
roles including those of VP of technology and director of software development with
the renowned 3D-graphics and special-effects software leader Softimage (Avid Technology).
He previously served in software and systems development positions with Virtual
Prototypes and CAE Electronics, two companies involved in visual simulations. As a
consultant, Mr. Cajolet also launched several software development organizations.
Mr. Cajolet holds a master’s degrees in computer science from the Université de
Montréal.
John McCalla
Chief Technical Officer
John McCalla is the original architect of the Bluestreak interactive
TV platform. He started his career in the imaging products group at Matrox
Electronics Systems, and during his five-year tenure with the company
he designed a new COM-based SDK for imaging applications (Matrox ActiveMIL)
and successfully led a team of developers in its deployment. Mr. McCalla’s
experience also includes work as a software design team leader in industrial,
medical, and semiconductor vision systems. Prior to joining the executive
team at Bluestreak, he served as software architect for
the iTV division of ZAQ. Mr. McCalla is a graduate of McGill University,
where he earned a BS degree in computer science.
Marc Bélanger
Chief Financial Officer
Marc Bélanger was until recently an independent financial advisor in
the telecommunications industry, more specifically in EMEA region where he
participated in numerous mergers and acquisitions projects, as well as financing
and restructuring activities. He also served as interim CFO for various companies
in the telecommunication and software industries.
Prior to this period, he was a financial director at Telesystem International
Wireless. Mr. Bélanger began his career at Deloitte & Touche.
Marc has 17 years experience and is member of Québec Order of Chartered
Accountants (CA).
Yves D’Aoust
General Manager - Americas
Before starting at Bluestreak, Yves D’Aoust served as VP of Integration
and Services at ZAQ Interactive Solutions, where he was responsible for the
business development of interactive television products and services.
For over 12 years, Mr. D’Aoust worked for Teleglobe Canada and Transcontinental
Group in a strategic and business planning management role for digital television
and online services after spending 4 years in Europe building similar services
for his own company.
Mr. D’Aoust began his career as an engineer for Vidéotron Ltée Canadian 2nd
largest cable operator.
Cédric Monnier
General Manager - Asia
Cédric Monnier has been working in digital media and broadcast industry for
10 years. Prior to working for Bluestreak, he was Senior Product Manager for
NDS France (previously known as CANAL+ TECHNOLOGIES), which specialized in
interactive television (iTV) middleware, software, and conditional access
solutions. Mr. Monnier was responsible for the marketing of the company’s
MHP and OCAP middleware, including Java and HTML development and production
tool. He was also the company representative in DVB-MHP standardization groups.
Mr. Monnier has also worked at Dassault Aviation where he was responsible
for managing the implementation of a full Java distributed environment for
military aircrafts.
Mr. Monnier holds a master degree in software engineering from French
University of Sciences (Rouen) where he still teaches Interactive TV and
distributed objects.
Laurence Fornari
VP Sales Mobile Europe
Laurence Fornari has more than 10 years of experience in embedded technologies
and emerging market.
She joined Thomson CSF in signal processing research and development labs,
participating to military satellite communication and digital TV projects. Ms. Fornari
headed support and technical marketing for architecture and system level design
tools at Cadence Design Systems, addressing silicon vendor multimedia needs. She
then joined Packet Video where she provided support and project management to
leading device manufacturers and wireless operators. She participated to the
elaboration of the very first DVB-H architecture and consequent trial.
Ms. Fornari holds an engineering degree in signal processing from CPE, France.
